Pelahatchie Elementary believes that a school’s success is not solely determined by its test scores. In fact, we consider the climate of the school and our students’ desire to be present both strong indicators of a highly successful school.
We want our students to enjoy being in the classroom. Students who love school are more likely to be attentive and motivated to achieve. Instilling a love for school can leave a lasting impact on our students which will improve the effectiveness of everything they do.
Attitude, enthusiasm, and drive jump-start a desire for learning. It’s the joy of being in a classroom that leads to inspiration, exploration, and curiosity. Our staff members strive to embody a positive attitude that reflects their own love of learning. As a school, we value the relationships, the shared moments of discovery, and the sheer pleasure of teaching and learning something interesting, all of which inspire our school’s success.
Staff members are expected to be well prepared each day, focusing on the needs of their students. We celebrate the big and small moments in teaching and strive to create a learning experience that students love being a part of. In doing so, we hope to cultivate a love of learning.
