Priority One Bank Announces Promotions

Robert J. Barnes, President and CEO, of PriorityOne Bank, recently announced the promotion of several employees.

Angela Stevenson will be serving as Assistant Vice President, Mortgage Underwriter for PriorityOne. Barnes stated, “We value Angela’s hard work and dedication to PriorityOne Bank and are pleased to have her as part of our team.” Angela has been with PriorityOne since September of 2020. She has over 26 years of banking experience with over 23 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Prior to joining the bank, she was employed with Annie Mac Home Mortgage. Angela is a member of the Gulf Coast Bicycle Club where she was named Female Rider of the Year for 2021 and completed her first Half Ironman Triathlon in 2021. She and her husband, William, reside in D’Iberville and have two children, Carrissa and Devin.

 

 

 

Cheryl Deas will be serving as Vice President, Assistant Compliance Officer, and OFAC Officer for PriorityOne. Barnes stated, “Cheryl is a valuable employee of PriorityOne Bank, and we are happy to recognize her hard work with this well-deserved promotion.” Cheryl holds a BA in Paralegal Studies from the University of Southern Mississippi and is an ICBA Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer and ICBA Certified BSA/AML Professional. She has been with PriorityOne Bank since November of 2005. She has served in many areas of the bank, most recently, as Assistant Vice President, Assistant Compliance Officer, and OFAC Officer.

 

 

 


Felisha Magee will be serving as Customer Service Representative, Branch Officer, and Assistant Branch Manager for PriorityOne. Barnes stated, “Felisha is very dedicated to this bank and her community, and we are glad to be able to honor her hard work with this promotion.” Felisha holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, an Associates in Arts in Business Administration from Copiah-Lincoln Community College as well as an Associate in Applied Science in Office Systems Technology from Northwest Mississippi Community College. She has been in Customer Service for over 25 years and has 14 years of banking experience. Felisha has been with PriorityOne since August of 2014 and has served in many areas of the bank including, Account Services and Item Processing. She says, “One of my favorite aspects of my job is visiting schools and talking to students about saving money and making good financial decisions with programs such as Bankers in Every Classroom, Teach the Children to Save, and Reality Fairs.” Felisha has served her community in multiple leadership roles and is currently the Financial Advisor for the non-profit organization, Instruct a Nation. This organization teaches life skills to girls and young adult women. She and her husband, Jimmy, reside in Mendenhall and have two children, Dominic Jackson and Ma’Kenzie Magee.

 

Francis Wright will be serving as Assistant Vice President, Loan Officer for PriorityOne. Barnes stated, “In the time that Francis has been a member of the PriorityOne Bank team, he has proven to be a very valuable asset to us, we are thrilled to be able to honor his hard work with this promotion.” Francis holds a Bachelor of Science in General Business from Mississippi State University and a certificate in Financial Planning from Northwestern University. He has also served his community in multiple leadership roles and is currently a Church Council Member at Heritage Methodist Church in Hattiesburg. Francis and his wife, Frances, reside in Hattiesburg, with their two children, Major and Anderson.

 

 

 

Josh Allen will be serving as Assistant Vice President, and Loan Officer for PriorityOne at their Magee Lending Center Location. Barnes stated, “Josh is a great asset to our bank and works very hard to help our institution succeed, this promotion is well deserved, and we are pleased to have him as a part of the PriorityOne Bank team.” Josh holds a Bachelors Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Southern Mississippi where he was a Swazye Scholarship Nominee. He has been with PriorityOne Bank since February of 2015. He has served in many areas of the bank, including, Loan Officer, loan assistant, and teller. Allen has also served his community in multiple leadership roles. He is currently serving on the Economic Development Foundation Board of Directors and the Simpson County Youth Leadership Committee. Josh and his wife, Rhegan, reside in Mize.

 

 

Melissa Sorrick will be serving as Senior Vice President, and Credit Manager for PriorityOne. Barnes stated, “Melissa is a valuable asset to our organization. I’m very pleased to present her with this well-deserved promotion.” Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has been with PriorityOne since March of 2019. Melissa is a member of Madison Heights Church. She and her husband, Dan, reside in Madison and have one son, Elliott.

 

 

 

Wendy Burnette will be serving as Assistant Vice President, and Branch Manager for PriorityOne’s Flowood Branch. Barnes stated, “We value Wendy’s hard work and dedication to PriorityOne Bank and are pleased to have her as part of our team.” Wendy has been with PriorityOne Bank for nine years and has served in many areas of the bank including Head Teller, Customer Service Representative, and Personal Banker. Wendy and her husband, Troy, have two children, Katelyn, and Rivers.

 

 

 

 

Michael Biddle (not pictured) will be serving as Assistant Vice President, and Loan Officer for PriorityOne. Barnes stated, “I am delighted to announce this promotion, Michael is an outstanding employee and very deserving of this.” Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He has been with PriorityOne since April of 2019 and served in many areas of the bank, including Collections Specialist, Special Assets Officer, and Loan Officer. Michael and his wife, Kaitlyn, have two children, Simon and Shawn.
