The group has been blessed over the years with a TV show stemming from this event. The group has converted what was a hobby into a benefit each year to help someone in the area who is in need. We have assisted a child with cancer for nine years, we assisted a hospice center, we have assisted two law enforcement officers with life altering injuries, and this year we are raising money for a 19-year-old young man with a traumatic brain injury.
This year’s beneficiary is JJ Bailey. You can track JJ on Facebook by liking his page, Prayers for JJ Bailey. He was injured last September in a one vehicle accident, leaving his family with mountains of hospital bills. Grabuone cannot scrape the surface of these expenses but can alleviate some of the day-to-day costs surrounding his care.
Our event is 100 percent sponsor based; it is a one-day event where we take on sponsors, host a raffle and also take donations. We supply an invoice containing all of our tax information for your records and contact information. The event is free to the public and also open to any sponsor to set up a tent or booth at the event. We add your logos and information to our media, banners and ads for the event. Should you sponsor this event, we need your logo in a PDF or Vector file to be able to produce a high-quality logo for the banners. We also need your company mailing address, email address, and contact information for the owner or CEO.
Grabuone has done this event for thirteen years now, and it continues to grow. We all currently work for government public service entities, and this is simply a hobby and a way each year to give something back to the people who support us. This is a benefit, so we do not have levels, we only ask that a company contributor simply only spend what they can afford. I will tell you our sponsors generally start at $250 and go much higher. The ultimate goal is to raise as much money as we can to help support the beneficiary. The event is paid for totally by sponsors, and all proceeds after initial costs are paid directly to the beneficiary, this year JJ Bailey.
