The Muscadine Jubilee was temporarily put on hold since 2020 because of COVID-19. The town is happy to report that the event will return Sept. 17, 2022.
Mayor Karl VanHorn and the Town of Pelahatchie have been recruiting local entertainment, vendors, and activities for the family. Vendor booths will be available at a discounted rate this year.
Mayor VanHorn said that this year will be a year to “get it back where it was years ago.”
Due to COVID-19 and out of an abundance of safety and precaution recommended by the Center for Disease and Prevention, the Town decided to cancel the event in 2020 and 2021. Due to those cancellations, the Muscadine Jubilee lost some ground. However, the Town gets many calls and posts on social media asking about when the event will return - showing there is much interest in the event.
More details about the Muscadine Jubilee are to come in the September Pelahatchie News and online.
For information about booth space, call 769-229-4435. The event will take place at its usual location, Muscadine Park on 2nd St. (Hwy. 80) and Go Forth St. in Pelahatchie.
