Pelahatchie Elementary names 22-23 Teachers of the Year

Two teachers at Pelahatchie Elementary were named Teacher of the Year and New Teacher of the Year for  the 2022-2023 school year.

    Tedra Sirmon has been named PE's Teacher of the Year for 2022. Mrs. Sirmon teaches pre-K. Her dedication to the school is evident in the classroom. Her students come to school each day  eager to learn through a perfect balanceand connection of academics, play, and exploration. The foundation built in her room is consistently seen as students move forward in their school years.

    Jennifer Hardwick has been named PE New Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Hardwick is an inclusion teacher in our special education department. She works diligently to individualize instruction for each of her students so they can reach their full academic potential, and she closely collaborates with our general education teachers. We are thankful for her hard work and dedication to Pelahatchie Elementary School.
