On December 3, the Town of Pelahatchie held a Christmas parade. The Christmas parade tradition in Pelahatchie goes back many decades, and it appears the whole Town participated.
The theme of the Christmas parade this year was Christmas in Toyland. This 2022 Grand Marshall for the parade was Bettye Massey.
Winners of the Christmas parade between the floats and groups are:
- 1st Place-Crossroads Baptist Church
- 2nd Place-Pelahatchie Baptist Church
- 3rd Place-Pelahatchie Band Elf’s
Mayor Karl VanHorn and his wife, Felicia, and of course Santa Claus himself joined in on the Christmas parade that brought the Christmas magic.
