Greg Shoemaker has joined Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center (MSMOC) as CEO.
Shoemaker joined MSMOC in late 2022, having previously served as Executive Administrator for Baldwin Bone & Joint, an orthopedic practice in Daphne, Alabama.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to work with such an outstanding group of healthcare professionals,” said Shoemaker. “I look forward to helping meet the orthopedic needs of Mississippians and continuing to grow this great practice.”
Shoemaker earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi. In 2011, he went on to complete the Gulf Coast Business Council Master’s Program. He has also earned an executive medical practice certification (CMPE) from the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). He has additional training through the completion of a one-year executive leadership development program at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Prior to his time at Baldwin Bone & Joint, Shoemaker was the Executive Director for Infirmary Medical Clinics, a large multidisciplinary practice network in Mobile, Alabama. He brings nearly two decades of practice leadership experience to the MSMOC team.
Shoemaker was born and raised in south Mississippi. He and his wife, Heidi, have been married for twenty-seven years and have two daughters – Erin, 22, and Anna, 17. Outside of the office, he enjoys hiking, reading historical fiction, and collecting vinyl records.
Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center operates a comprehensive range of orthopedic sub-specialty care, including surgical treatment and procedures. A staff of highly trained orthopedic sub-specialists provide care for a wide range of orthopedic injuries and diseases. MSMOC offers advanced technology and equipment for both diagnostics and treatment at locations in Jackson, Madison, Flowood, and satellite locations in Brookhaven, Ruleville and Yazoo City.
