The Pelahatchie High School (PHS) Chieftain Award goes beyond academics and looks at the character of an individual. Teachers nominate students based on their level of good behavior, attendance, citizenship, and other characteristics that exemplify what it means to be a Chief.
Students who were honored with the PHS Chieftain Award are: Chase Parker, 7th grade; Heaven Lewis, 8th grade; Tyson Beeman, 9th grade; Yu-Ting Chen, 10th grade; Madyson McGee, 11th grade; and Kendall Jones, 12th grade.
The PHS Academic Achievement speaks for itself. These are the students who work diligently to complete all assignments to the best of their ability.
PHS students who were honored in January 2023 for academic achievement are: Chyna Bowie, 7th grade; Jayla Davis, 8th grade; Breonna Ward, 9th grade; Mickey Jennings, 10th grade; Maddie Little, 11th grade; and Janiya Harris, 12th grade.
