A 6-year-old boy has died days after an ATV crash in Pelahatchie, according to Rankin County Deputy Coroner Cliff Dunlap.
A 10-year-old girl who was also involved in the crash was hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in critical condition, according to investigators.
The wreck happened Sunday afternoon on Rehobeth Road.
Investigators from the Rankin County Sheriff's Office said the two children were driving an ATV when they were hit by a car.

"It's gut-wrenching as a father of a 12-year-old and a 9-year-old. I can't imagine a tragedy like this in my household," said Rankin County Sheriff PIO Paul Holley.
Investigators said when deputies arrived, they saw how critical the accident was, so they called for AirCare.
Both children were airlifted to UMMC.
The 10-year-old girl attends Brandon Elementary, and Norwood was a student at Pisgah Elementary.
Holley said no foul play was not suspected by the other driver.
The crash is under investigation.
