The Mississippi Farmers Market will host Sliced into Summer 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 29. Alongside usual vendors who carry produce, eggs, meat, dairy products, honey, flowers, artwork and plants, the Market will feature complimentary watermelon slices; Back to School lunchbox bundles; a photo opportunity with the 2023 Watermelon Queen; and kids’ activities. “Join us at the Mississippi Farmers Market for our Sliced into Summer event this Saturday,” said Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson. “We’ve got the 2023 Mississippi Watermelon Queen, Saylor Sullivan, who will be joining us from Mize for pictures and Mississippi-grown watermelon for everyone to enjoy. Come experience the benefits firsthand of shopping and supporting local producers.”
The Farmers Market Café, located inside of the Mississippi Farmers Market, is open 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every weekday and 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every Saturday.
