ERA track season starts

The East Rankin Academy Patriots opened up the 2024 indoor track season on Monday, January 15th at the Martin Luther King invitational at the CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama. Sophomore, Audrey Mayatte, finished 8th out of 72 runners in the 800 meter run. She is currently ranked 4th in the state of Mississippi at that distance.  Also competing in the 800, freshman, Leah Collipp, finished 21 out of 72 runners ranking her 9th in the state. Eighth grader, Zack Price, ran the 1600 with a stellar time of 5:04, ranking him 1st in Mississippi and 21st nationally among fellow eighth grade athletes. Lydia Collipp finished 15th out of 77 in the 400m dash, ranking her 13th in the state of Mississippi.
