City of Vicksburg welcomes everyone to come enjoy live music, arts and food at the third annual Vicksburg Arts and Music Festival, April 19-20, 2024. The Festival continues to partner with the Alcorn State University Jazz Festival on Saturday to add a second stage of entertainment.
The festival is FREE to attend. We invite people to bring their lawn chairs and picnic blankets to relax on while enjoying the music and food. There will be a variety of vendors inside and outside along with multiple vendors selling food items like fried alligator, BBQ, fish and more!
Entertainment will kick off inside with high school and college students performing wonderful jazz at 9am and then the second stage outside kicks off at 12pm. Omega Psi Phi will host a student talent search beginning at 12. Students’ 9th-12th grade are eligible to participate and will be winning cash prizes.
Local and regional musicians are invited to a Jam session with Mr. Bud Carson in memory of Mark Doyle beginning at 2pm.
Childrens activities include a video gaming trailer and special scaly guests from the MS Natural Science Museum from 2pm-6pm.
Featured Musicians:
Compozitionz, The Chill, Projekt, Pop Fiction, MS Marshall Deluxe and the legendary Bobby Rush will all perform throughout the festival Friday and Saturday.
Event made FREE and possible by the generous support from the City of Vicksburg, Mutual Credit Union, Waterview Casino, Bally’s Casino, grants from Visit Mississippi, Visit Vicksburg and MS Delta National Heritage.
