Honoring the Chief Elite in Elementary School

Honoring the Chief Elite in Elementary School
Motivation and success are what drive people. In the school setting, it is critically important that we celebrate and recognize the outstanding things that students accomplish, both inside and outside of the building. Watching students grow and accomplish their goals is one of the main reasons most people go into education, myself included. The recognition of students fosters strong relationships among students, families, staff, and the community and creates a positive school culture where students feel valued. Pelahatchie Elementary recognized the first semester Chief Elite students on December 16. Teachers selected two students from each classroom that have exceptionally demonstrated school expectations. Teachers were able to specify the character traits that each student has displayed the entire first semester. What is impressive about this honor is that students are making good choices each day, which takes focus and dedication. The Chief Elite recognition program is sponsored by Charvarius Ward, #35 of the Kansas City Chiefs. We are beyond thrilled that he felt led to support the students of Pelahatchie Elementary.
