TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Gunter Road intersection at U.S. 49 CLOSED in Rankin County

WHO: The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT). WHAT: Intersection closure.

WHEN: Monday, February 8, 2021. The closure is expected to remain in place for up to three weeks.

WHERE: Gunter Road at U.S. Highway 49 in Rankin County.

WHY: Construction. The closure allows crews to install and configure traffic signals. HOW: U.S. 49 will remain passable in both directions. U.S. 49 southbound traffic to Gunter Road is advised to utilize alternate crossovers. Motorists should slow down and be alert for roadside workers.
