Local students named to university honor lists

    Several Pelahatchie students were recently named as scholars at their respective university institutions for the fall 2021 semester.

    Joseph Winstead, Jordan White, Hannah Whitney, Reagan Sanders and Jessi Thompson were named to the Fall 2021 Chancellor's Honor Roll at the University of Mississippi. This honor is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.0.

    Laura Wingo of Pelahatchie was named to the Fall 2021 President’s List at Mississippi College. To be eligible for the President's List, a student must maintain a 4.0 grade point average, based on a 4.0 system.  Scarlett Castillo and Cody Myers of Pelahatchie were named to the Dean's List for Fall 2021. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must maintain a 3.5 grade point average, based on a 4.0 system. To be named to the President's and Dean's Lists at Mississippi College, students must take a full course load of at least 12 semester hours of undergraduate credit, with all academic courses impacting their grade point average.

    Tiffany Hoard and Kristen Tullos were named to the President's List at the University of Southern Mississippi. The President's List includes full-time students who earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Makia Arvella Lewis, Peyton Lamar McKinion and Cheyla Gissell Munoz Ramos were named to the Dean's List at USM. Dean's List scholars are those with at least a 3.5 grade point average, but less than a 4.0.
