PHS students get lesson in physical therapy

Lee Newman, a physical therapist with Elite Physical Therapy in Brandon, visited Ms. Luker’s Medical Science classes at Pelahatchie High School (PHS) in February. Students learned about body balance and alignment with a Bosu ball, strength measurements and assessing reflexes, exercises to strengthen shoulders and hips, slow motion video analysis of tuck jumps and overhead squats, plus the students were able to see a demonstration of dry needling.
