Intermittent closures planned on Interstate 20 in Rankin County March 20

WHO:           The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).

WHAT:         Intermittent road closures.

WHEN:         Between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Sunday, March 20.

WHERE:       Both directions of Interstate 20 between U.S. Highway 80 (Exit 59) and State Route 43 (Exit 68)

WHY:           The rolling closures allow TEC crews to place fiber internet cables across the interstate.

HOW:           Crews will close the interstate in 15-minute intervals to perform the work. Local enforcement officials will be on the scene directing traffic. Motorists are advised to slow down and be on high alert for roadside crews during the closure timeframe.
